THE NOVELLA PROJECT

The purpose of the project was to publish two novellas each year by new authors from under-represented, minority, and working class backgrounds; the project was run by interns from similar backgrounds, with training and education given throughout. 

Looking initially for two novellas, at 20-50,000 words, by writers who had not had a full length work published, the project ended up producing over eight works of fiction and poetry. Authors were involved throughout the process,so that they too learnt about publishing.
